I've been fortunate to have had the opportunity to see Tanzania and Botswana and the amazing animals and people there. The quality of light is different everywhere and I strive to capture that and the incredible majesty of the animals in their unaltered state. With experimentation (and lots of play) into how best to recreate the feeling of the light in the plains, I found watercolour and encaustic mixed media on the natural beauty of wood works best.
